If there’s one thing in life that’s true, it’s that a hot shower can reduce nearly any level of stress. We all love our showers, whether it’s first thing in the morning, after time at the gym, or as a way to relax before bed. But, as nice as the experience is, it can be better. Believe us when we tell you that there are a few ways for you to take your shower experience to the next level.
Keep reading for a few easy tips to make a good shower great.
- This one is a no-brainer. A beautifully designed teak shower bench or stool gives you a place to sit, a storage space for shower essentials, and a way to shave your legs without twisting yourself in knots.
- You don’t have to just accept the shower head that’s currently in your bathroom. There are a host of options. Handheld shower heads have a relaxing massage option, and they make full-scale cleaning a reality. Color changing shower heads provide fun visual enjoyment. Filtered heads ensure that only the cleanest water possible touches you.
- Already have the perfect shower head? Great, but to make it even better, take the time to clean it every couple of months.
- Along similar lines, to prevent mold buildup on your shower curtain, first, remove it from the rod or rings. Next, throw it in the wash with a few old hand towels and about a ½ cup of white vinegar. Your curtain will come out looking shiny and totally clean.
- Does touching your shower curtain gross you out? Easy solution, just get a curved shower curtain rod. It keeps the curtain from making physical contact.
- Looking for true relaxation? Hang a bunch of fresh eucalyptus in an out of the way corner. When the steam from the shower makes contact with the leaves, it releases oils that reduce congestion, release stress, and smell great.
