Shower time doesn’t simply have to be about getting clean. Sure, we’ve all got our habits we follow when showering, and it can be tough to alter the routine. But some changes can make life easier and more productive. It’s worth it to take the time to incorporate these easy tips into your morning shower ritual, and you can make your hair and skin look better, and make life easier overall.
- Normally, shaving your legs in the shower is a serious pain. To accomplish it, you need to stand on one leg and lean against a wet wall. But with a teak shower bench or stool placed in the shower, you can sit comfortably and shave safely.
- On a cold day, stepping into a hot shower sounds like paradise. However, hot water can dry out your skin and strip away many of the necessary oils. By showering with lukewarm water, your skin stays hydrated.
- When your hair is wet, it becomes quite a bit more fragile and breakage is a real possibility. To sidestep tangled hair in the shower, run a brush through your hair before you get in. Detangling is best done out of the shower as well.
- The best time to wash your face is after you’ve shampooed, conditioned, and completely rinsed your hair. That’s because the runoff many products that aren’t specifically designed to clean your face can clog up pores and cause breakouts.
- We’re sure you’re moisturizing after you shower. This might sound a bit strange, but be sure to moisturize before showering as well. If you apply a little facial or body oil beforehand, your skin will feel softer after you’re done showering.
